Job Description

We are looking for a computer science student able to work full time (40 hours per week) during the summer to support the aDolus Software Development and Data Science teams. The work includes system testing, tool configuration, and software development tasks. You will work closely with our developers and data scientists to help build and test solutions that add value to society. Job Location

Work from home anywhere in BC (aDolus operates a fully remote development team). 


  • Assist the data science, development, and IT teams with cloud platform configuration and administration tasks
  • Help with data validation/normalization tasks, including confirming the association of security vulnerabilities to software components recorded in the FACT database
  • Assist in the QA testing of the product and website
  • Contribute and collaborate as part of the Scrum Team
  • Update your professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications

You have experience in software development and testing, love to learn, are flexible, and can adapt quickly to deal with unexpected challenges as they arise. 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Currently working on completing a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Comfortable programming in one or more of the following languages: C++, C#, Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript
  • Some familiarity with cloud architectures, ideally Amazon Web Services
  • Well organized with good prioritization/workload management abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and an eagerness to ask questions
